Women Prevention
Awareness
Campaign to
raise community
awareness about
suicide risk for
Asian elderly
women who have
the higher
suicide rate
among all female
groups over age
75 in the U.S.
In this
workshop,
presenters from
Asian
communities will
address
culturally
relevant issues
pertaining to
suicide risk
factors and
behaviors, and
culturally
sensitive
approaches to
reach out to
Asian elderly
women who may be
in distress.
Social service
providers,
caregivers and
college students
serving the
Asian community
are encouraged
to attend.
