In order to reach our fundraising goal of $80,000 for the 2006-2007 academic year, AAARI will be increasing its membership prices effective immediately. With the increased prices come increased benefits including:

Distinguished Member ($1,000): Free access to all AAARI activities and publication, plus 12 sessions of space use (3 hours each), on topics and agendas approved by AAARI, even co-sponsored by AAARI (Lifetime)

Honorary Member ($500): Free access to all AAARI activities and publication, plus 5 sessions of space use (3 hours each), on topics and agendas approved by AAARI, even co-sponsored by AAARI (Lifetime)

Regular Member ($100): Discounted prices on all AAARI activities and publication (One Year)

Additional Benefits For All Levels of Membership

• Membership card.

• Free Video-CD / DVD of events.

• Periodic announcements by postal mail, and e-mail.

The Asian American/Asian Research Institute aims to achieve the following:

• To become an Asian intellectual and cultural center that addresses the needs of New York's diverse ethnic subgroups of Asian origin.

• To stimulate the study of Asian people, languages, cultures, and countries as well as Asian immigrants and their descendants who live in the United States.

• To bring together a community of scholars and channel their scholarship and research energies on Asia and the Asian American experience.

• To identify timely issues that affect the Asian and Asian American communities.

• To conduct scholarly, non-political, and unbiased studies on policy goals and community concerns.

• To disseminate its research results and educate the public about Asian and Asian American issues.
